Milestones through history

1986

ECUAVEGETAL IS BORN.

A dream begins! We open the first line dedicated to the production of canned food. Our first project: canned tomato.

1990

WE START PRODUCING CANNED BEANS AND EXPORTING GANDUL.

This year we innovated with the production of canned beans and the export of a new product in Ecuador: The pigeon peas or Gandul. We began to position ourselves strongly in the dry and canned bean market.

1995

ECUAGANDUL AND VECONSA BECOME ONE.

In 1997 Veconsa Sabanilla is formed with the union of Ecuagandul and Veconsa. Together we are more!

2001

THE PRODUCTION OF SWEET CORN BEGINS!

One of our star products! We started producing sweet corn without imagining that 20 years later we would have more than 3 varieties derived from it.

2002

FACUNDO ARRIVES IN SPAIN!

We cross borders with the commercialization of canned products in Spain.

2004

ANOTHER CATEGORY ADDS TO OUR INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION!

We continue to grow our international market. Now Facundo Frozen products also crosses borders to Spain.

2008

WE ARE THE LARGEST EXPORTER OF FROZEN BANANAS IN THE WORLD.

12 years after the creation of Veconsa, we have become the largest exporter of frozen bananas in the world.

2017

HISTORIC PRODUCTION!

Record harvest! We achieved a historical production of 1.43MM tons of pigeon peas (Gandul).

2018

EXPORT RECORD!

We set a record by exporting 100 containers per month of frozen plantain.
